Author, Admin of the Life-Saving Divorce Private Facebook Group
I have two bios. Here's my conservative Christian bio & a Chumpi-fied bio:
Gretchen Baskerville is a Christian divorce recovery leader, author, and researcher. She began leading support groups for single mothers in conservative churches in the Los Angeles area in 1998 and now focuses primarily on reaching people online.
For more than 25 years, Gretchen has helped women and men of faith find strength, courage, and healing through the challenges of life-saving divorce. She listens with empathy to those recovering from domestic violence, betrayal, infidelity, addiction, and emotional abuse.
A survivor of a toxic marriage herself, Gretchen understands the journey of rebuilding after loss. Following her own life-saving divorce and years as a single mother, she is now happily remarried.
She is a graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in Bible and Christian Education.
HERE'S A CHUMP-I-FIED VERSION:
Gretchen Baskerville is a divorce recovery author and researcher who helps people escape destructive marriages and rebuild strong, joyful lives. She began leading support groups for single mothers in the Los Angeles area in 1998 and now reaches thousands online with her practical, compassionate insights on healing after betrayal and abuse.
For more than 25 years, Gretchen has walked alongside men and women of faith recovering from infidelity, emotional abuse, addiction, and control. She knows firsthand that divorce isn’t a moral failure — it’s often an act of self-respect and survival.
A fellow Chump, Gretchen’s own marriage ended because of sexual infidelity. She understands the shock, grief, and rebuilding that come with discovering betrayal — and the freedom that follows when you reclaim your life. After 20 years as a single mom, she is now happily remarried.
She’s a graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in Bible and Christian Education.
